I am a huge scary movie fan. What are some really good, scary, bloody, scare the pants off you movie?

I just got back from watching The Descent and LOVED it. I usually hate horror films of any kind and only went because my husband insisted it was supposed to be good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really was. It made me feel claustrophobic and scared, and I jumped at least 3 times. It was also refreshing to watch a movie without thinking about how stupid the characters are. Not once did I think, "Don't go in there! How stupid can you be?!?" Everything was quite logical in that sense. Definitely go see it if you're a fan of the genre.

Not an old movie as in how far back? If you really want to get freaked out--hellraiser 2.
More recent I dug The Ring. Both J- and US-versions are great. It's more "creepy sends chills up your spine w/o being a gorefest" type scares.

Saw a movie just the other night named Wolf Creek.It was based on a true incident that happened in Australia,involving a serial killer and people disappearing .It was scary.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow. I think it is an early 80's movie. I liked it a lot.

Cry Wolf is pretty good. IT's more suspense though.
I don't reccomend the exorcism of emily rose. It is in no way scary. It actually kind of bored me. I was disappointed by it.

The Excorcist? The really only good movies are the old ones. The new ones are all horrible (in my opinion).

I liked Final Dest. 3, Emily Rose, I watched parts of The hills Have Eyes. It was too weird for me....
