I don't know what your threshold is for items being too expensive, but there are many sites on the web that sell Thomas the Tank Engine toys. I've provided some links for you below.
Incidentally, my nephew loves Thomas & Friends and has numerous toys and accessories, too. I hope you find what you're looking for. Cheers!

It all depends on the company. Original tomas the tank merchandise is very expensive. One train alone can cost $25.00. Tomy and toys r us make generic thomas merchandise, that can be used on the thomas table if you have it. Basically, check toys r us or see if you can get in touch with tomy and see if they can send you a catlog of the merchandise for thomas that they sell

Well, at Target so of the trains are $4.00s and they range from $4-6.00s.It just depends on which one you buy and how much your willing to spend.
