Priests molest children and they are meant to be highly moral figures. Look at people in your own religion before pointing the finger at others.

What on earth are you asking? Your question makes very little sense.
I will try to answer hoping i deciphered your cryptic question properly.

God does not cause morality. Morality is a byproduct of causality. When you do something it has an effect and an outcome. if either of these causes more harm than good then you can rightly classify it as morally wrong (equivalent to sin). It's not a black and white world, there are always shades of gray. Sometimes the immediate effect may seem to be harmful but the ultimate outcome is much more beneficial as to overcome any harm of the initial effect... in most of these cases you can justify it as morally correct.

If you molest a child the immediate effect is pain for the child and the outcome is a lifetime of mental problems. Therefore this action can be classified as morally wrong.

There is no ultimate justice for people who get away with bad things... you just have to deal with this, and if god is the only thing stopping you from molesting children you have a serious problem.

If no one believed in right or wrong, then the consequences for child molestation would probably be non-existent unless the parents decided they didn't like it. Then they could just kill you, cause there's no right or wrong. This is a really stupid question, since everyone believes in right or wrong to some extent and in some form, although not everyone believes in God.

Not believing in God does not make "sin acceptable." I am an atheist and consider myself a moral person. I just whether something is the right or wrong thing to do, not on the "word of god" but on whether it causes harm. Child molestation is hurting a child, so it is wrong.
You should be asking yourself "Is god moral?" Because any being that would doom people to eternal hell based upon non-belief is incredibly immoral to me. How egocentric is that? "If you don't believe in me, you will be punished?" Why should someone be able to live their life in a horrible manner, ask for forgiveness and then go to heaven? While under Christian religions a person can live a moral life, do good, but not believe and go to hell?

Not believing in God does not = not recognizing right and wrong. Are you saying that people only know how to be good because religion forces them to be? It's just the fear of ticking off God and getting thrown to the premanent firey vacation land?

Taking away another's rights, as is done with child molestation, is wrong and would be punished by taking away certain rights of the offending party. People are capable of recognizing right or wrong. Some are simply very disturbed or do it all anyway.

Because there is at least a law of mankind, which everyone knows what is acceptable and what isnt. If you impede on other peoples rights then bad things happen to you. Say for instance, there really was no God, a guy molests a child, the child grows up, harbors anger, and later finds and tortures or kills the pedophile. His death is a direct result of his actions. Consequenses happen even in the smallest of beliefs

Also even for those who believe in God a Child Molester can be forgiven and not have ETERNAL punishement. This question is not worded correctly to have the desired effect. The consequences of Sin are already on us. DEATH is the consequence for all sin. We are all sinners and we will all die. The next step is what we need to be concerned about. Do we wish to die and then spend eternity with our creator or do we wish to die in loneliness and be eternally seperated from all that is Good.

Child Molesters get put in jail and molested/raped themselves. This is wrong. Most of society, whether they believe in God or not, still believe in right and wrong. God is not the only one who establishes wrongs or rights. The laws also help those who don't believe in God. Society is another one who also regulates good or wrong. To believe that God and the belief in God and/or Religion is the only one who dictates wrong and right is ignorant.

True. I’ve looked over a few of your questions and this is what I have to say. Yes I am atheist, yes I think god was created to keep people in line, yes the people needed to keep in line were simple ones who had no idea of right and wrong. Morals the concept of justice is simply put to us when we are young many of use forget it and adopt the punishment rule of heaven and hell, but I rather like treat others the way you wish to be treated. That’s all!

that’s the first thing I wanted to say this is the second, in these days (specifically after the seventies and eighties) it has been drilled into our heads that no one is going to look after us or care about us so we must look after number one even if it is hurtful to number two. It is this that causes you to think sin is acceptable among the people today, because they are doing everything (including stabbing their fellow man in the back) to try to get ahead. Another idea that was spawned out of the material age was that our only goal in life should be gathering vast amounts of wealth, which is not true. and though you were to talk to people about it they would say to you that they only want to be happy, but they were tricked into thinking the only way to be happy is through monetary gain, or distraction from it (i.e. drugs rape excitement thrills chills and automobiles.

Third thing, I am sorry that you must face these aspects of our society so often. As a court stenographer I’m sure you see lawless godless (which are not the same bye the bye) people so often and yes I can see why you may be jaded. Just try to understand the world is big and there allot of people in it, not all of us are like that. Many of us are just trying to make it through our lives in peace.

And to answer your question, the punishment for those who can't see the golden rule "do unto others as you wish to unto you." is decided by us the people (the jury, a cross section of that person's peers). That is what makes this land great.

I hope this helps. Live well.

If a person doesn't believe in God, that doesn't really have to mean that they believe your concept of Sin is acceptable. I'm at a point in my life where i'm not really sure what I believe. Guess you could call me agnostic.
But amoral/imoral behavior is not acceptable. It is wrong to hurt anyone, but especially a child. Anyone who hurts a child in anyway deserves what the laws and courts of the land give them. Children have the right to grow up in a safe and secure environment even though many of them don't.

Why does this have to be considered a Christian thought. There are many people out there of many religions/non-religions who believe in morality.

Not believing in God and not believing in right and wrong are two seperate things. We can still have morals without having concepts of father-figure gods to look up to. Even religious texts can be used to decide upon morals and many of the ten commandments, for example, still apply as they still make sense culturally - which is, of course, where they came from originally. The Bible and other religious texts are products of humankind - historical documents for the way people have thought. As such, murder, incest, child molestation and other abuses, etc, can all be wrong - or they can be wrong anyway, through looking at ourselves and through looking at philosophy.
