I would say, "Okay, let's go get you a more comfortable ring."
He would wear that ring!

He'll just have to get used to it. Unless he has a job where it would be dangerous it's just plain stupid to wear it around your neck. It shows lack of commitment. You are supposed to be proud and happy to be married. If it really is just a comfort issue like I said he'll get used to it. When I first started wearing one it felt odd and annoying because I wasn't used to it. But that oddness reminded how my life had changed and how happy I was that it had. Plus being so in love it was certainly something I wouldn't want to hide. After a while I got so used to it that if I didn't have it on I felt something was missing. Him not understanding such a big issue does not bode well for when you are married. Personally I don't think he's ready or mature enough to make the big step if he doesn't get it.

Lots of men don't care much for rings -especially if they work around equipment or tools. Every man I have ever known ( including my ex-husband) that has cheated on their wives did so even though they had on a wedding ring. There are women out there that could care less if a man is married or not. For some of them, stealing someone else's husband seems to be the challenge. If a man is going to cheat he could have a ring on every finger and it wouldn't stop him!

You'd be surprised how many people have damaged their rings by getting their hands caught on door knobs, into doors, etc. Don't make an issue of this, some people refuse to wear their weddings rings at all.

My husband never wears his ring because of work, it will get really messed up. He actually wore it for the first few weeks and it started to look terrible. My point is: It doesnt matter as long as he's faithful.

i can't understand how a simple wedding ring (particularly men's wedding bands) can be uncomfortable to the point where he can't wear it on his finger. BUT, as long as he stays faithful and is offering to wear it around his neck, then it's okay.

My husband almost lost his finger from wearing a wedding ring (He's a cabinet maker and works around large equipment) Now he doesn't wear any rings at all, but I still have my hottie in one piece and that's what's important to me.

Not a big deal. He isn't saying he won't wear the ring, he just doesn't want it on his finger. Cut him some slack.

I wouldn't like it. My husband suggested the same thing, but I didn't like it. I told him how it makes me feel to think that he will not wear his wedding ring, so he did and does wear it. He got used to it, yours will too.
