Accept the invitation and arrive either with a large posse of muscular friends or with various weapons, such as a gun, knife, etc. If you wish to avoid criminal charges, I suggest going with a phone to call the police. Or you could merge the two ideas: have the enemy beaten up, then beat yourself up, and plant the weapons on him.
Good luck!

Go in good faith but with caution. There's always a chance it could be a trap. But on the other hand, peace with an enemy can turn out to be a very good friendship. You both know where the other stands on issues.
I have made friends with enemies that respect me because I stood up to them and wouldn't back down.

I met an enemy on Saturday, but was not allowed to do anything about it. She smiled and continued flirting with my husband. But, since she's totally ugly, and he's not interested, I'm not too worried. I was very friendly and nice, even after during the course of our conversation I said "We're music people" and she said "Did you say, you can have him?". Yes, that really irritated me, but I did not react to it at all. I simply corrected her. And, I don't see how anyone could confuse one statement with the other. I had to sit in her presence while she made sex-jokes and talked about her "little man in the boat" until I was about ready to puke. I don't reccomend meeting your enemy, but if you have to, be the more grown-up person and let them make themselves look bad.

It depends on what kind of enemy it is. How much hate or resentment or trouble is between you two. If you feel that you are well assured with yourself and confident to carry this meeting out then by all means, go ahead. But on the other hand, if you feel threatened to you health or body harm or feel really fearful
then don't go.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I'd meet, but you pick the location and don't go alone.
