Does anyone have any ideas on jobs to do while attending college?

I am currently a full time student and looking for a part-time job that actually gives me some experience in something other than waiting tables. Any ideas?

Some schools have research assistant jobs. Some employ students in the libraries. But your best bet for a job with a "real" experience is an intership. See if your school can hook you up with a company to do an internship with.

Well depending on where you attend school really determines what opportunities that are available. What are you majoring in? That is another thing to consider. If you are majoring in say law maybe you could work at a law office. That would give you experiance in your future career, but would look good on an resume.

I am in college and I work in an office. I do secretarial duties and I am learning about title insurance. To me it is better than running a cash register or waiting tables because you can move up and learn and get raises. It is not what I want to do of course, but it gives me somethig different to do. I am also really close to my co-workers and it is fun, especially on holidays and their birthdays, I am here right now!

Check with you school's employment services. These are the preferred (though lower paying) jobs to have because they schedule you according to your class schedule since they're also part of the school. Off-campus jobs pay better, but they could care less about your class schedule/exams, projects, etc.
