One of the most important aspects of a successful marriage is sexual compatibility. If you don't have it, the marriage will not work. So waiting till after marriage to have sex is like rolling the dice with your happiness.
Having sex is just a function to satisfy a biological urge. Making love, on the other hand, is a more spiritual encounter.

Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free??
I advocate for waiting. Sometimes, unfortunately, this choice is stolen from young people, by selfish thoughtless people who may have been able to override them and rob them of this precious jewel, but if the choice is still in your hands, I say WAIT.
You have nothing to lose, and a great deal to gain,by respecting this very private and personal use of space.
Making love is entire worlds apart from having sex. And even if you've already had sex ,I always say it's never too late to embark on the crazy, wonderful, exhilarating journey of what I term "second virginity". I've lived amongst and had the privilege of counseling with and encouraging many people who have reclaimed their sense of purity and newness, and waited for marriage before having sex again. It's something to be proud of.

Sex belongs in marriage for many reasons--not just the religious reasons. Sex is a gift giving to people for procreation. Every baby deserves a mom and a dad. Don't tell me your birth control is 100% effective!
Sex outside of marriage leads to physical and mental complications as well.

I think all teens should wait until they are older or married for it, there is nothing that a person is missing out on. Teenagers don't even know the true meaning of sex, let alone love making.
Save it for a person that you know will be there and not give you STD's!

People shouldn't even consider having sex until they're married.
Having sex is just a function to satisfy a biological urge. Making love is a emotional encounter.

I believe you shouldnt have sex with someone unless you know for sure it is love. It should be making love and not having sex. If you need pleasure that bad... then do it yourself. Don't just have sex with someone because you are lonely or whatever.

I waited for sex until my wedding night. I do not believe in casual sex. My husband and I make love. There is a physical and emotional connection there, not just a physical act of release.

It depends on your partner. If sex is a big basis of your relationship then waiting won't work. However if the more mental aspect is important, then waiting should happen. However most people fall in the middle.

I agree, you should wait until marriage to have sex or make love. You should not have sexual intimacy until you are married. It saves the world a lot of heartache, not to mention, it is the way God intended it to be.
