So, by your logic, why should we care about the conditions of *any* living thing? I mean we all die eventually. . .
It matters because as humans, it is our duty to act in a humane fashion. Torturing animals so that we can have 15 minutes of pleasure is unethical and inhumane. Justifying it with stupidity and apathy is simply denial.
Violence and cruelty only leads to more violence and cruelty, no matter who or what the victim is.

That's like locking people up & torturing them - being OK, because the people weren't going to amount to much, anyway.
Animals all feel pain (yes, even fish). Treating animals with respect is just good karma (BTW - did you know that most mass murderers - including the 2 bozo's just arrested as the "serial shooter" here in phoneix) start out by abusing/killing animals ?

Not saying anything about McDonalds, but about your question now, this is not proven, but it seems to me that a bird that lives in crowded and unsanitary conditions, as you say, would be a sick bird and who wants to eat a sick bird?

is this edna? Oh my god! You have improving lately! Yes, I agree with you. This is just wrong! I eat chivken. My religon, half of my religon people do not eat meat chicken, pork, beef, nothing that involves animals. Because our preiests says not to eat anything that is living. Would you like to be eaten if you were a chicken? exactly, so you shouldnt eat them because he is a living thing to. You should spare them and let them go free. anywhere they would like to go. It is not ok for us to eat these poor little creatures. Even though, I do.

Guess what makes us sick? A virus? sometimes. Bacteria? sometimes. hormones in our food? yes. pesticides in our food?
yes. antibiotics taken by improperly kept animals? yes.
(and don't forget the methylparabens, propylparabens et al found in human breast tissue alongside cancers)
these animals feast on vermin and excrement and it makes them toxic to our bodies.
We cannot be assured of our longterm health unless we are very concerned with the SOIL we plant on, the SEEDS we sow with, the WATER quality of the water we irrigate with , and natural control of the pests that blight the plants. If animals are raised on grains they are less valuable to us nutritionally than animals who are raised on grasses.
We must always know who is stewarding our farm land and we must demand the most knowledgeable farmers to assure that we are supplied with the food that keeps us healthly.

Well, look at it this way. We're just going to die someday too...so why not round ourselves all up into cells and let us live off of each other's flesh? Being humane is not a bad thing my friend.

Because they have nothing better to do in life than gripe about things that God gave us. They have free will to do this.
