I like rabbit ears. Cheap and that one channel is all I need. Thank you Pat Robertson and the 700 club.

The Directv satelitte dish works with only Directv hardware and the the Dish Network antenna works only with Dish Network receivers. There is nothing you can buy that will change this or all you to steal signals. >Would a Dish Network control box work with a Direct TV satellite dish and/or vise verse< Do you have trouble understanding? See above. No.

Its not an easy answer.
HD TV - Dish network has merged with Voom to give you the largest selection of HD channels offered at the present time. Directv promises to bring on a lrge selection of HD channels soon but its not now.
DVR capability - is offered on the boxes for both sources. the DVR box is available in the free packages taht both networks offer.
Channel choices (non HD) - This is pretty much the same on both. But where Dish network is miles ahead of DirecTV is in the International channel lineup. If you are at all interested in Asian, Latin American, european language channel programming then Dish is the network for you. They have 100s of choices. DirecTV lags far behind.
So if you have HD or international programming consideration, then DISH is teh way to go. If you are not interested in either of these then toss a coin.
Good Luck!

DirecTV is way better. Even if you look @ prices its the same because dish offers less channels for a "lower" price.
