Formica counters and cabinets could be wiped clean with gentle liquid scouring purifier, a gentle accountability purifier, baking soda, or a tumbler purifier. Wipe them with a damp sponge, rinse and wipe dry. For obdurate spots, attempt a shot of laundry pre-wash spray or a paste of baking soda and water. permit it take a seat for a million/2 an hour, then rub with a nonmetallic scrubber. For a greasy stain, you need to use slightly rubbing alcohol on your kitchen cabinet cleansing.. If the Formica has yellowed, it quite is in all probability the discoloration is brought about by using prolonged exposure to the sunlight. A bleach based kitchen cleansing product used with a soft nylon scrubbing pad or a soft toothbrush might desire to turn your cabinets back to white. If that doesn't paintings, you may attempt sponging on a bleach and water answer, yet do not circulate away it on there too long, basically a minute or so, then rinse properly with clean water. (be sure you placed on rubber gloves and previous clothing whilst working with bleach and be advantageous to guard surrounding surfaces from bleach drips...

Soft Scrub with bleach works on our rental units. (No we didn't put the white counter tops in on purpose; we bought the place after it was built. I also hate the white linoleum floors that always look dirty.) Someone before you may have used scouring powder (Ajax etc.) that scratches and ruins the finish so that it stains more easily.
By the way, I had a tenant who left the bathtub so grungy that I thought it would never come clean. I used Kaboom with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. It took a little elbow grease but the thing looks new.

cheap and easy.
buy a empty spray bottle at a dollar store. and a gallon of bleach.
each day as needed, fill up the bottle with plain water, and 1/4 cup of bleach. spray counter as needed, wait a few mins, then wipe clean with a paper towel. if it doesn't take the stain out, then add a little more bleach. keep your body at a distance, so you don't accidently bleach your clothes. rinse counter with a wet sponge or wash rag to remove excess bleach. this method also is the best for simple disinfecting.
and yes, after 20 yrs of living in rent-houses, they will do anything to keep the deposit, especially hard if you have kids. but, i have many remedies for their little disasters.

Use Soft Scrub w/Bleach together WITH a Mr. Clean Magic Erasure. The Magic Erasure is made to use alone and generally works very well. However, for stains like the ones you've described, I've found it works best when used with Soft Scrub.

I always used a white towel soaked in a bleach and water solution and laid it on the stain for about 20 minutes. The stains were usually gone after that amount of time.

There is a product called Bar Keeper's Friend. It comes in a round container like Comet does but it works 100 times better. I have an old white tub in my rented house that I used everything on but it still looked stained. I used Bar Keeper's and it made a huge difference. It is sold at Wal-mart.

make a paste out of baking soda and water, let it sit and soak. Lemon juice might help too, depending on the stain. Good luck, and I agree with the comment about landlords!!
