TV Magic, as is any magic, simply an illusion. When you watch magic on TV, you are only seeing what the producers want you to see. Yes, when there are live audience members, usually they are paid and made to sign a waver stating that they will not reveil the secrets to the magic, however, I find that simple street magic is far more fun. Being able to use slight of hand tricks and manipulate pordinary playing cards is a more relaxed way to enjoy magic. Either way, it is purely for entertainment, and should be taken as such. If you want to learn to do magic, there are lots of resources and websites that sell books and videos.
