No... it used to be that way, up until a couple of years ago. Now you can have a vaginal birth after having a C-section. It just used to be that they didn't risk it and automatically gave you a C section every time.

No. My wife's first child was an in vitro and C-section baby. The second baby (my son) was made "the old fashioned way" and was birthed naturally (that is, within the confines of a hospital and available pain medication). There was a risk stated by the doctor that said Caesarian might be needed, but the stitches from the earlier C-Section birth held fast (actually, complimented on for the quality of surgery!).

Emergency c-sections done with a an up and down incision on the uterus nearly always result in repeat c-sections because of the possibility of rupture (I had one because of a cord prolapse--rare complication requiring immediate c-section). However, most are not done this way and can often lead to future VBAC (non-cesarean) briths. Most doctors, however, won't try to turn a breech baby in utero on a woman with a previous c-section because of the risk of breech so it's still possible that further c-sections may be required.
Also, you can't get a VBAC with a midwife. Midwives will usually never handle VBACs because there is a slightly increased chance that cesareans will be required once a prior one has been done (repeat of circumstances, if it's a breech, etc.) and midwives can only assist in cesarean deliveries. Once you've had a c-section, you will likely be referred to an OB for further pregnancies.

Not necessarily, but chances are good that if you've had one c-section, you'll have more.
However, if circumstances are right in later pregnancies, you can go for a VBAC (Vaginal birth after Cesarian) if your doctor thinks it's ok. Basically, a c-section is major abdominal surgery and after you've had one, there's a lot of scar tissue left over and the stress of a vaginal birth in the future can cause ruptures of the uterus and other health problems.
This is the kind of thing that needs to be discussed with a doctor if you get pregnant again. They can help you make the right choice for you.

It is safer to have c-sections after your first c-section. If you try vaginally, there is a chance of a uterine rupture. And it's not really worth the risk. But some women insist in VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) and everything works out fine.
Personally, I had a c-section last year and my dr said that if I was his sister, he would tell me to have c-sections from now on, cause it's not worth the risk.

no if you have one c section you are not forced to have the rest c section you can have it natural. I had a choice I had both mine c section. the first one was breech adn the second was because of heart problems of my own. I had a choice to go ahead and deliver naturally. But the choice was mine I didn't have to do the c section.

Absolutely not!!!!!!! Its call VBAC birth (vaginal birth after cesarean). My sister's first was c-sec and her second was natural. My daughter's teacher had 1'st natural, 2nd Cut and 3rd natural............HOWEVER some doctors (especially the older ones) are afraid to do vaginal, so speak up and ask if they have a problem with that. Also make sure nothing medically is stopping you from having a natural.
Good Luck : -)

Depends on how they did your c/s. Talk to your caregiver and if you've had a c/s already, get a copy of your medical records. Some caregivers are willing to let you try to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean).
