If the doctor prescribed it then I would suggest taking it...this isnt uncommon for boys to have to take this...it will improve your growth and your outlook on things...a friend of my son's takes this...he is 13 and only 4'5"...he started taking it about 6 months ago and has grown 2 inches since he started...he will probably be on it for a couple of more years, but he is happy to finally be growing and has a good outlook on things...he told me the other day that he learned to make friends with all the bigger kids in school so then he'd have someone to protect him from the bullies...:) so if I were you I'd take the medication...it will help you in your growth...

If your Dr. prescribed it should be okay. Just make sure you know the side effects, both long and short term. And decide if being taller is woth it. If you are confused, go to a different Dr. to get a second opinion. It wouldn't hurt you to wait a couple of years though, I knew guys who got their growth spurts later in their teenage years. Also, make sure you are talking to your parents about all of this. Good Luck.

No. Nothing wrong with short. Some famous people are small too. It might only be difficult to get a job such as fireman or policeman where height might be considered.

practically i suggest that you visit an endocrinologist... he can provide you with the best solution for your case. in all cases if you want to take the growth hormone, i think that its effect would be minimun. i am not sure about that.
but in the purpose of getting taller you should couple it to further treatments and life accomodations... for example you have to excersise and increase also your protein intake...
but believe me go and see an endocrinologist
