In the future, people will have a whole new crop of curse words which will confuse and offend us old geezers by then.
Only the 'f' word seems to transcend the generations, with even b-i-female dog-t-c-h slowly exiting the stage (the first sign is when it got changed to beeyotch). By then, it will probably have lost a lot of the impact it ever had.

As a Christian I say "DAMN" and "Bastered" a lot more then I should. The F word has been around for centuries. I look at puppies and say "Son of a *****!" Its usually to be funny. The S H word on the other hand is filthy. If those king of bad words became tolerated, it goes to show things get worst instead of better.

Okay, it is getting bad now. I know lots of people, not just young ones either, that talk that way everyday. They say these words in front of anyone, including their young children. I know elderly people the say f-----g this and that every other word. I used to get offended and embarassed but I gave up on it as I seemed too prissy and being made fun of. So I just keep my mouth shut and listen.......it not good.........

Man made those words "bad" by associating them with unpleasant objects or scenarios, or with things "one just doesn't speak of in public". That being said, using those words shows a severe limitation of one's vocabulary, and is generally considered to be in poor taste. A thesaurus might be in order?

I think it's stupid. 60,000 words in the english language, and some people have to use the same ones in every single sentence. they're not even words that mean anything, not the way they're used, they're just noise.

Even my mom says s**t now, the words crap and darn get past my grandmother now, but apparently didn't when she was raising her kids. I think that new curse words will take the place of the ones we have today.

I dont think that cuss words are bad words...for example when someone says I need some cocaine or herione that to me is worse than saying You need to go to F* church. Thats just my opinion~

People who think those words are more offensive than others are naive. It's the intent that counts. Saying "Oh sh!t" is no different than saying "Oh shoot!" because the intent is the same. To express anger.
