100 % effaced! you better get your bags packed lol. The dialation can take a while, but at 100% your cervix is ready to go. You can go ANY time. You can stay at 1cm for weeks, but usually not at 100% effacement. You usually aren't at that stage until the very end.

Any moment now...or several more days.....or even a week or more.
How far effaced and dilated you are REALLY won't tell you anything about when labor will come. You could walk around at 100% and 1 cm for WEEKS or you could be closed up tight as can be and have a baby a few hours later. It means nothing. Cervical checks are just another way that doctors attempt to "manage" you labor. They give no real useful information. Many midwives NEVER do an internal exam on the mothers they attend, even in labor!
With my first, I was 3-4 cm and 100% effaced for *at least* a week before I had him. (Who knows...I could have been that way for a long time before the doc checked me!)

There really is no way of actually determining. When I was pregnant I was 38wks pregnant and 1cm for a 2 week then when I was 40wks my water bust at the end of that week, went into the hospital and was still 1cm. So if my bag wouldn't have bust no tellin how long I would have been waiting. But try to walk and that can speed up the process.

Since every woman is different, you won't know for sure, but I can explain how to have your baby as fast and painless as possible aside from herbs or medicine. As soon as there is "bloody show" which is a thick, blood tinged mucus, you can know that it will be within one or two days.
Try not to lay down too much, aside from naps to gather strength for the job. Staying upright will keep things going.
Avoid eating foods that give you gas, as even a little gas can intensify contractions.
During a strong contraction, stand up, hold yourself up with your arms while letting your lower body's weight drop and relax completely. This will make the contractions more bearable, and will speed things up immensely. Pulling your weight up from a handle above you while letting your lower body drop has the same effect. As long as you totally relax your lower body.
Refuse to fear or panic during contractions. Breath slow and deep and be calm, and you won't have any probs.
The push is the best part because your adrenaline from the excitement of meeting your new baby is so there, and you also know that it is super close to being over with.
CONGRATS MOMMA =)

Well from experience you can be dilated for months. I was 2 cm for the last three months of my pregnancy and had my daughter on my due date. I do know that you can ask the doc. to "pull the plug" it's kinda like being induced with no meds. sometimes this works if the baby is ready. The only sure way to tell is when you actually go into labor.

I was effaced for a whole month and still went to 42 weeks. I was induced which did nothing so I had a c-section. The whole time I thought I was going to have her early or at least on time, didnt work out that way. But It does sound like you can go any moment, but not necessarily so.
Good Luck :-)

I'd say about two weeks or less. I was the same way; there really is not way to gage it until you go into labor. Having sex kick started my labor.

You can't tell hun. Every woman's body is different and you won't know until your water breaks. They usually say it's time to go when your water has broken. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful little baby. Im prego as well with my second, Good luck hun!
