Well I tend to inspect to make sure that there is no left-overs on the silverware!

I live in a small town. It only has a Wendy's. The "silverware" is wrapped in plastic, so "no" I do not wipe it first.

funny you should mention this..just yesterday, while dining at an el cheapo restaurant, i had to dip my knife into my hot coffee to wipe it off..mostly, i like to make sure the utensils are clean enough to use..because sometimes, you cant always trust those dishwashing machines they use

I have but don't make a habit of it. Most of the places I eat out at have plastic wrapped utensils.

ya know i do ,but in reality it doesn't matter at all the germs and stuff are still there but the water spots are gone and I guess that makes me feel like it's cleaner I am anal that way
