Dont sweat it too much, as I'm sure you know, all girls go through this. All I can offer you are the basics. 1. You will not have regular periods for a while... but after some time they will probably last for 5-7 days and then you will have time between periods that last about 23-28 days. 2. Some times you will have very heavy flow... a lot of bleeding... dont worry about this, its normal. Other times it will be light.. 3. Some women experiance cramps... for example back aches or stomach cramps... these are nothing to get all worked up about, simple house-hold pain releavers can help those, but make sure you follow the directions of the bottle and make sure an adult knows your useing the medicine. 4. If you haven't already, you will start to experiance mood swings. These may sometimes be very sever... you may find your self wanting to cry about every small little thing.. thats ok... just make sure to try your hardest not to lash out at anyone. :) 5. Make sure you always carry pads (or tampons, which ever you are more comfortable with... pads are better for first timers) with you in case of emergencies. The cramps aren't always going to occur, its ok that they didnt come with your first period. Just relax, if you still are havong doubts that you are on your period then ask a trusted adult for some advice! Good luck and God Bless.

Some people get cramps but the lucky ones don't. If you have blood on your underwear then you definitely have gotten your period. Your first period can just be little drops, or it can be a lot, like in your case. Pain or no pain, a lot or a little, it's all normal.

Is this the 1st time you bleed? If so then lucky you. I got mine at age 11. Cramps are not something that all females get. I didn't cramp up until after I had my 1st son. I didn't feel anything when I 1st got my period...I didn't even feel the blood coming out. I was bleeding A LOT! Its scary I tell you. So go get a pad on and then go talk to your mother....she'll tell you more. Oh and......welcome to woman hood.

Your mother didn't tell you? Don't have a mom? You evidently have a computer...can find everything you want to know by looking it up on the internet...the old fashioned name for period is Menstruation....you may or may not have cramps...the amount varies from person to person...talk with your mom, aunt or some other female that you feel comfortable with...I am sure that you are just fine...this is just the beginning of many years that you will have this natural monthly aggravation....

You definetly have your period. The same thing happened to me. I saw loads of blood in my undies when I was 11, but I had horrible cramps on top of it. You should go take a shower, put a pad on and go talk to your mom. She'll talk you through it and you'll be fine and you'll be lucky if you don't get cramps.

Yep that is probably the girly time! Not every one gets the same symptoms. I know some women who barely have any signs of even starting or finishing and of course they have no complaints, but me on the other hand, just get a gun and end it because I am mad and in great pain!!!!

I would think that it is your period! not every girl gets cramps before her period and sometimes girls don't have any warning, unfortunately, you are one of those girls....ask your mom for a pad and mark it on your calender, next time you'll be prepared! GOOD LUCK!
