No, it will be the same as the oil is measured in volume,not by thickness. 10w40 is used in the summer and 10w30 is used in the winter.

Just ever so slightly, 10w-30 and 10w-40 pumps the same in the cold..... just 10w-40 is like a 40 weight at operating temp..... switching them around in the winter is useless....
