What usually happens to a person if they have to go to traffic court for a bad inspection?

Is there a possibility of jail time? Or is it usually just a fine they have to pay? I need to know.

If by bad you mean that it belongs to another car....them maybe.....But if you mean expired....Then all you have to do is get the new one and take proof to court and they should drop the charges.

If by inspection you mean that the car is not street safe. Get it fixed and take the receipts to court with you. Usually just a fine if the repairs are done.
