It won't be easy and you can't stop him, it's got to be him who really wants to change. I use to smoke it and when your on it you don't necessarily realize that your chaning so dramatically (attitudie etc). He may even think he's in control and not like the ones that are so far gone and look so messed up. But that's how those people got there in the first place.
When your around him don't make the conversation always be on the drug use and when you are act like you care, which obviously you do, and dont' force him/her to talk about it and try to recommend they try a rehabilitative program if the opportunity arises. The one I was at is free. You can start and stop whenever you want to and it's totally non threatening.

Jeeze man. Thats dreadful. Show him some of the videos that you can get on the net (supposedly funny) of people off their heads on crack, crapping in the street and stuff. Its gross. Unfortuneatly if he/she is already doing it you are probably too late. they are likely hooked already. You can bung drug leaflets at them, left right and center, but if they dont want to stop then they wont. Soz I cant offer anything more useful to you. But good luck. :o(

i would great a mixture of sugar, flour, and water. Once it gets kinda dry roll it into a ball like a crack ball, and relace it for his stash. Once he tries to smoke it, and doesnt get high, tell him you herd that after so long you become immune to it. When he gets more, do it again.

show him pictures of people who get hooked on it, and bad side of it, shock tatics and then he will stop , there are bad batchs around
