Closed. They sleep just like the rest of us. I take a bus to work and a blind lady with her dog gets on everyday because she teaches at a school for the blind. I noticed every now and then she falls asleep and I can see from the side of her glasses that her eyes are closed.

I would say with their eyes closed since most of the blind people I see walk around with their eyes close so why open them at night.

That is so mean! Blind people sleep with their eyes closed because they can't see in the daylight either! How dare you insult the blind community like that!!

Closed because when your body relaxes, your eyes shut. Closing your eyes when you sleep is not just to do with sight but also that keeping your eyes open takes more effort than keeping them shut. I know this today 'cause I'm feeling sleepy.

Closed. The body needs rest as well as keeping the eyes moist. Keeping them closed while sleeping is natural, and allows the body to replenish lost moisture.

birds could nap in the process the day on and off.. many times with their eyelids closed (assembly in the middle) to end them from drying up. certainly one of my Barrabands has in basic terms one eye.. nicely definitely he has 2 yet one has been injured in basic terms before us rescuing him and it is mangled so he's blind, in accordance to the vet, on that eye. He sleeps with that eye open, probably because of fact there is not any eye left to rigidity approximately drying up. As he's in an outdoors aviary, i've got not seen him sleep as quickly because it is dark so i does not understand :-)
