You can't retrieve that info. It's gone.

Bye-bye pictures!

Yeah, recovery disks are funny that way...they revert the computer back to it's factory settings, just like the 9 warning screens told you.

That's why back-ups are so nice to have.

YOUR FILES AREN'T GONE!!! If you haven't made too many changes to your computer, or added a lot of new programs or data your files are still physically present on the hard drive, but are just not showing (logical deletion). All you need to do is get a software such as 'Get Data Back' (I've used it before, it does work) and start a complete recovery of your disk. If you have another drive that can be used, let the recovered files go to this drive and try and find your files again.

If you didn't save the important files and folders that you needed then they are gone forever. Once you put that recovery disk in you set the computer back to the original settings it erased everything and put back only what was on there when you bought the computer. Sorry!!

The fastest I've seen this done is in 8 hours of work (by people. the computer had to be left on its own for a while) in over a week. By speciailzed technicians. You're out of luck unless you know somebody or its really important and you want to pay.

Unfortunatelly all your files are gone and you will not see them again. Use this as a learning experience.

You may want to have some files saved online. You can save your pictures on photos.yahoo.com.

Sorry, you are out of luck with out spending a lot of money at a data reconvery specialist. I am not sure even that will help. Did you not see the question like, " Are you sure you want to reformat? You will loose all unsaved data?".
