Anyone who said not to go to TN is crazy. The town of Gatlinburg is not honeymoonish, but the countryside (the mountains) is just beautiful! There are some really great bed and breakfasts out there. A friend of mine went to Gatlinburg for her honeymoon in Dec. She loved it and had tons of fun.
Depending on where you live, I would also recommend Hot Spring or Eureka Springs in Arkansas. The beach isn't for everyone, but if it is, Pensacola (I'm just assuming you live in the South).

I recommend the Poconos Area in Eastern Pennsylvania. We went there for our honeymoon and it was great. Beautiful mountaneous area and lots of nature type things to do. We stayed at the Ceasars Pocono Palace Resort - they have a variety of unique room types and tons of on resort activities so you will find that you won't need to leave the resort to find something to do. They cater to honeymoons and will personally work with you. There are 4 Ceasars resorts in the area and you get a "Key Around" pass so you can use the ammenities at the other resorts for free.
We stayed in the Fantasy Apple suite with three levels - a huge round bed, and its own private swimming pool in our suite.

Also there are tons of other resorts in that area so just run a search for Poconos resorts and you will find tons of stuff.
Also if you are into racing - there is the Poconos Speedway too.
Plus it is not too far to drive to Niagara Falls.

I am not sure why people said No - I have always enjoyed Gatlinburg for vacation. When is your honeymoon?

Ozark mountains- TN mountains. Very beautiful and romantic.
Get you a cabin, its off season now! Call the National park service or Tennessee Wellness Center. They offer packages.

Best wishes. I love TN and have traveled all over the world. Beauty is in your backyard if you look for it. Texan here!

Why do you care what we think? If Gatlinsburg sounds good to YOU, then you should go. Other people ideas about what you should do would suit them, not you. I don't like Country music, and I don't like the lifestyle that goes with it, I like urban things, so I wouldn't go to Gatlinsburg. But YOU like it, and your fiance likes it. That's what matters. It must be fun, why would so many people go there if it wasn't? There's a lot to do there involving things that the two of you like to do, it's driving distance from your home. You should go, you'll have fun. My in-laws went there, and they had a really good time, saw a lot of shows they liked and got some really neat souvenirs.
