Does the 3 sec rule count when you drop your sandwich,on the floor of a public restroom? i dropped mine?

yes i ate it..becaus it was within 3 secs....but will i get sick?

That's sick. And, yes, you'll probably get sick and die. Or, you could get some crazy STD. As a good friend here in the South likes to say, "You nassy (nasty). You so nassy even a skunk wouldn't urinate on you, you nassy individual." Good luck with not dying! Hope it was worth it! :)

You might get sick, but you definatly are sick for eating it, that is just grose, there is no scientific evidence of any 3, 5 or 8 second rule for food hiting the ground. it is just that people don't want to waste food. Why would you have food in a public restroom? Well whatever the reason I would keep the food out of the restroom from now on.

The 3 seconds rule is a myth. If you touch a fresh painted wall it wouldn't matter if the contact last for half a second or 3 seconds, paint will me adhered to your skin. In the same way your sandwich will be "painted" with pathogens as soon as it hit the floor. Now it all depends on your inmune system if you get sick or not. Hopefully, a healthy human adult will survive a couple hundred bacterias terrorism actions his/her body.

Hell no it don't count. That is nasty you don't eat stuff off the floor. Especially not the restroom floor. Just think about how many germs are on that floor. You are probably going to be sick. Anyway you need to be for being dumb enough to eat off of a public restroom's floor.

Ha ha, I think it's a state of mind. I can think my way past any Virus or Bacterium trying to attack my cells. My $300 glasses fell from my face, and into the toilet at a Store. I retrieved them by the sideback piece, and deposited them into the trash.
My mind was free to think of other things, and not to expect other people to be confronted with my "germy glasses". Maybe my next ones will be Surgical Steel. Even Mad cow Disease Surgical Instruments cannot be sterilized at any temp.
Had I eaten them, and the natural defenses in my body had a go at them, I would have probably wondered, as you are, just how powerful were any germs on them. I'd sooner suck on a rock.
Be tough, kick butt...you will win the war of mind over matter.

The floor of a public restroom is nasty so probably or maybe not. Regardless if its 3 seconds or not, germs are all over the floor of a public restroom. I hope you don't get sick though

No the 3 sec rule doesnt apply to anything dropped in the bathroom. and why were you eating a sandwich in the bathroom to begin with. You probably wont get sick but its just nasty..

It's actually the 5 second rule and no it does not work. The theory was disproven on the TV show Mythbusters. So yes you are probably going to get sick.

Actually, it doesn't matter whether you dropped it on the floor of a restroom or any other rooms. The food will still collect similar amount of bacteria. Watched this on Mythbusters on Discovery Channel. :)

The three second rule is a fallacy. It doesn't matter if it's 3 seconds or one millionth of a second. The germs and bacteria will transmit in a nanosecond. Sorry.
