If the child has support from someone who loves him/her, just go away. That way the child never have to be exposed to you and your sorry ways. I just wonder, though, why you bring up morals now?

First of all, you should not have even been with anyone other than your wife! What were you thinking? Well you made the mistake and this is your child so it is your responsibility to take care of this child and all its needs.
