If the US did stage 9/11 what would they get out of it?

Now there are world renowned scientists saying that the building could not have come down the way we told they did and that it had to be a demolition job - Top US professors and scientists (yesterdays yahoo news) facing black ball status for the things they are saying.

What would the US get ? Is this or was this a prelude to a race war with the Muslim's? The wars the US is currently in could only be justified by an internal attack - was the world supposed to get sucked into a genocidal plot but then didn't forcing the US to revise it's plans? Iraq - no justification - no WMD now Iran is on the hit list and the US is giving Israel millions of everything to kill Lebonese while blocking (until recently) UN resolutions demanding peace.

If 9/11 was staged what would they get out of it other than justification to start a race war?Lets face it the media has been pushing me to hate muslims and Arab for a few years now.

It's really amusing (and a bit sad) that so many people aren't actually addressing your question. They're just attacking you for daring to ask it. It's troubling that even trying to get information nowadays to form an opinion is sneered at.

To answer your question, the US (specifically the Bush administration) would get a justification to engage in broad control measures under the auspices of their war on terror.

It's worth noting that the measures put into place by the Patriot Act, as well as the warrantless wiretapping and other surveillance programs, were all proposed by Cheney and Rumsfeld (same ones) back in the 1970s, but were rejected by Congress then. Don't take my word for it. Read the transcripts of the hearings and the legislative history for FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act). Bush Sr., Cheney and Rumsfeld made the same arguments and wanted the same intrusive authority 30 years ago.

While I don't personally think the Towers were a result of US govt action, they did provide a timely justification for Bush to get what he wanted, and to make the power play for his Unitary Executive theory that makes the actions of the president unreviewable by Congress or the courts. So while I don't think the US govt staged the incident, I do think Bush took advantage of it as the perfect justification for what Rumsfeld and Cheney have been trying to do for decades.

I am glad people are asking this question more and more frequently. It shows that not everyone is ready to just believe anything our government troughs in our faces. We should be able to ask these questions and people should not get upset when presented with it. Why is it so unreasonable to people that this could happen to a country and that is all we are. We are just a country and if the people elected in office have a global plan for world domination why would you not think that they would sacrifice 3000 American lives to further their agenda. I'm not saying this is the case but I am saying that it is possible and I am not closed off to the fact that anyone is capable of anything.

Well some people would get what they want, which might be war. I have looked at a lot of the footage and I do find it funny that the big towers didn't shear off just below the crash area and fall leaving alot of the tower standing also there was a much smaller building to one side and it fell in a most peculiar way. You know the government needs reasons to attack another country, if islamics slam a plane into a American building Americans are gonna be pissed and want islamics bombed. Who knows maybe the cia trained a group thru the use of osama, he once worked for the cia, no one knows we can guess, war would benifit the military indutrial complex, also the oil people if the middle east is in total kaos. Fear. "Fear leads to anger and anger leads to the dark side..." OK, enough of the Yoda quotes. Fear is a very powerful political tool. It allows the government to grab powers it would never be able to claim in times of peace. I doubt that the Republicans had anything to do with actually planning it, but there is evidence that they ignored warnings. Let's face it, it's the best thing that ever happened to them politically. If Bush hadn't gotten off track with the Iraq war and other blunders, he'd probably still be riding the wave of popularity from his post-9/11 anti-terrorism speeches. And let's not forget all of the money Halliburton is raking in from those defense contracts. Power and money are the things the Bush administration craves most, and that one event brought them both.

Many things:
1. Bush lacked legitimacy and he needed your support.
2. Bush and friends needed a platform to launch their war in the Middle East to secure oil resources (they had already secured Albertan resources in Canada).
3. Bush was in collusion with investors who demanded that heavy industrial infrastructure (i.s., steel industry) be revitalized. A warfare is just the best justification for steel industry in a time when all the efforts are directed towards enhancing knowledge development.
However, it wasn't the US behind this, but Bush & Co. The US had already rejected Bush on election day and this is why he rigged the elections.

Plain and simple: The US gets reason to enter the Middle East. They have been wanting to a long time now, and 9/11 was a catalyst for them to. The Middle Eastern countries are the only other countries in the world (besides China) who have the potential to become powerful. America is afraid of that.

3. WTC7 COLLAPSE:

(The building that was 300 feet away from the twin towers that mysteriously collapsed onto itself on 9/11. There were buildings closer to WTC twin towers that were damaged much more severely that stand to this day. It was not hit by any aircraft.

4. OPERATION NORTHERN VIGILANCE AND ABLE DANGER:

It just so happens that there were drills ON 9/11 that were carried out by NORAD that simulated planes going into WTC towers and the Pentagon…(There were also drills in London during the 7/7 bombings simulating the same exact event) Coincidence? I think not. This drill also incorporated fake “blips” on the radar screen to indicate the simulated highjacked planes. With this drill going on there were 22 suspicious dots that NORAD could not distinguish from being real or fake. This “well timed” drill confused NORAD.

5. OSAMA BIN LADEN “CONFESSION” TAPE:

This is the only proof Osama was behind the attacks and it obvious the video was manufactured propaganda. For one, even though the video is grainy and of low quality, it’s obviously not Bin Laden. In the video he is writing something on a notepad with his RIGHT hand. Bin Laden is LEFT handed. A gold ring is also visible on his ring finger. Gold jewelry is forbidden for religious reasons.

Osama also said that he never attacked us. He said that it would have been against his religion to attack a group of people unprovoked.

OFFICAL STORY: Fire from within the WTC buildings weakened the steel within the structure causing it to collapse...No building with a steel frame structure ever fell because of fire… Not to mention lease owner of the WTC complex Larry Silverstein said himself that he "pulled" the building...A common demolition term for "demolish".

It takes weeks and weeks to plan a demolition. I guess Silverstein had a demolition team go into WTC7, Analyze the structure, unpack the explosives, set up the charges, and demolish it in about 8 hours. All during the biggest national crisis this generation has seen.

How about all the witness testimony saying they have heard and felt explosions within the WTC towers?
