Brit Hume asked Bush that question after the invasion:
"Yesterday on Brit Hume, he said he would have invaded even if he knew there were no weapons of mass destruction. Would have been nice if he’d mentioned this earlier.
Full Transcript:
12/14/05:
BUSH: I said I made the right decision. Knowing what I know today, I would have still made that decision.
HUME: So, if you had had this — if the weapons had been out of the equation because the intelligence did not conclude that he had them, it was still the right call?
BUSH: Absolutely."

He did not answer this question because he wanted to go to war with Iraq. Period. I watched almost all of the hearings when the weapons inspectors were telling Congress that no WMD's were found, no sufficient goods to make biological warfare was found, etc. Bush says that that CIA intelligence told him that there were WMD's....my question is, why didn't he have the insight to say, "We have conflicting information here...what is going on?" No, he chose to believe the incorrect CIA information because it confirmed what he wanted/believed.
I want a president who has the common sense to have seen the conflict and do something about it, before going in and bombing a country. If he had seen the conflict, or wanted to see it, a body something like the 911 commision would have been formed then, not after a war was started. They would have found all of the things we know now, before the war was started.
You can scream all you want to, that Iraq had to pay for 9/11, but we all know Iraq had little if anything to do with it. Al-Quada bombed us, not Iraq.

From indications and iraqi intel in 2003 much of the weapons programs that were active in Iraq were shipped to Syria in the run up to the invasion by coalition forces. While the Intel from captured Iraqi soldiers much of the technology was trucked acrossed the border.
Also as far as actual WMDs, several ton of of Mustard and VX was found in Iraq, so the NO WMD crowd lost it's thunder because of the find, and yet they rant.
Here is a bit of fact, anti-semitism is in the middle east is on the rise faster now then it was in the 1920s and 1930s Germany. The Jewish people are fighting for their very existence. Much of the WMD argument should now truly be focused on taking out Tehran and Pyounyang.
People need to wake up the fact we've been in a world war since the late 1970s when radicals took over the country of Iran and made it a hotbed breeding ground of western hatred. These people want to kill us, When will you learn that?
Grow up, go back to your world history books and review the early 20th century, history is repeating itself. millions will die at the hands of radical islam.

While I agreed with the war I don't think Bush was concerned with WMD's. Let's face it if Bush was so bright why have an army of White House spokesmen to fend off awkward questions.

There was over 500 wmds found in Iraq but the media does not seem fit to report it. This was stated in April of this year by two Senators. Of these wmds found many were mustard gas. Mustard gas does not decrease over years but gets stronger. In France they keep finding mustard gas bombs and many farmers have been affected by them.

For an invasion rationnale, Bush had other tricks up his sleeve in addition to WMD Lie. He was talking about democracy and regime change

I think he was pretty sure he was, the intelligence from his administration, France, Britain, and Clinton's administration all said that he did. Therefore, it wasn't asked. As for the strategy, I fail to see where that would be effected by the WMD outcome. The strategy (flawed as it may be) was to win regardless.
