Yes, in military jargon a click is 1 kilometer. I am a former army officer commissioned in the Field Artillery.
When calling for steel on the target (shooting at the enemy) the distance was always given in kilometers or clicks. The Forward Observer (FO) would radio the firing battery and identify the target by grid coordinates, polar direction, distance from a known registration point, etc and then provide an estimated distance to the target in "clicks".
A good FO would adjust fire in increment of 50-200 meters until the target is hit and then call for the entire battery of artillery to devastate the target with a call of "fire for effect".
In peace time or in training the results of 12 or more 155mm artillery shells landing on target is impressive. In combat the same 12 rounds kill people and destrory equipment. I would not use the word impressive but effective when it come to combat. I have observed both events.
OK, too much information but everyone else gave the same basic albeit correct dull answer on 1Km.

as has been stated, that's a kilometer. notwithstanding, immediately ahead jargon has it as a klick (with a ok). also, there is not a "naval click" considering the fact that nautical miles are shortened down as "nauts"
