The Midwest is in serious need of physicians at any level. Check with Wisconsin's ruling board on medical practitioners. Bilingual is a plus. If the need is great enough the state may assist you in the revalidation process.

It may be possible for you to sign on as a medical consultant.

At the least, I think you would be able to qualify as a midwife in a hospital's birthing center. A step-down, I know, but still viable.

Good luck.

Well, your degree here means you'd be an OBYN, which deals with pregnant women .. if that's the degree you have I don't think you're allowed to be anything BUT that. You could do some online searching, and email a hospital or have your boyfriend call a local hospital in Wisconsin and inquire about you having a different job in that enviroment.

You should fill out for a work visa which will entitle you to be here to work, otherwise if you come with just your passport, legally you are entitled to stay in the US for 3 months. (I go through this with my best friend)

You will need to obtain licensure in the Us in order to pratice here. You will have to apply in the state you are moving to. You are in a good position to be a doctor because in the midwest there are alot of hispanics that do not speak english. They need someone that also speaks spanish in order to treat them. Good luck. I dont know what else you could do but I would still work as a doctor if I were you.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to
get hired.

I think you would be better off not getting married for a while, until you realize how good the medical field is for you there first.
I think you will do fine in your career, and won't need any help.
