I know the new Galactica series had a lot of mixed feelings. The producer of it is making a new series which starts 50 years prior showing the beginnings of the cylons.

Since this producer was one of the Star Trek series producers, is he making the same mistake as they did with Enterprise?

I don't think it'll be the same mistake as Enterprise. If the writing and character developement comes anywhere close to BSGs, it'll be great. I'm looking forward to it. It'll give fans an opportunity to see Galactica when it was the shiny new jewel of the colonial fleet AND Cylons that don't look like people.
Maybe my hopes are too high. BSG has really raised my standards...

I really wish the producers would stop making remakes of what they already had. The original Battllestar was so much better. I think they are just wasting their time with this new series.
