Do you think I can still become a Podiatrist (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) even though I am very HORRIBLE in math? My math teacher didn't teach me anything for a couple years and she told me because of my math diability I would never make it as a doctor.:-( It is my dream to become a doctor. Now I am left here with a dream stuck inside of me that i am "CRYING" (really crying) to let out and I don't know what i can do. What do you think I should do?

Listen, you can become what ever you want...If your dream is to be a doctor, go for it!!! Don't listen to that Piece of **** teacher(please exuse my language). Do what you heart tells you. Try better at math, remember that if you like the subject and you don't do well in it it isn't the subject you have a problem with, it is the teacher.
I believe that is your job on this earth, you are meant to become a doctor. GO FOR YOUR DREAM!!
You will always have people putting your dreams down, but you stand up and ignore those Tyranicall Facists!
You take all those words of doubt and you take it as a challenge to prove those people wrong.

You can do better at math, just apply yourself more and try harder(remember it is for your dream!!)
Don't give up. OK
Have a good day, don't ever give up and God Bless you ^_^

Well, you had a nasty teacher who tried to squash your dreams of being a doctor. Your teacher could have just been a crummy teacher unable to teach a person who required a little extra effort! I'm not sure how old you were when you had math problems, but your brain may have grown and matured since then and you could be just fine!

When you are taking your pre-med classes, start auditing some lower level math classes. You could even take some lower level math classes through your local community adult education department.

Finally, if you get your undergraduate degree and you find it tough to get into a US med school, you can always go to a foreign medical school or you could even become a "Doctor of Osteopathy" or "D.O.". DO's are doctors too and write prescriptions, but just take a different path to obtain their medical education than a M.D.

Most people don't even know where their doctor was trained or really even care. If you are good at what you do and treat your patients like real people - really listen to their complaints, you will do fine.

Don't listen to the little people who try to squash your dreams. Good Luck.

Always follow your dream. Your math teacher had no business being a teacher if that was her attitude. When you come to a stumbling block, get help, get tutoring, keep trying and you'll make it. Today there are many devices that can do the math for you. It would be horrible to look back after a long life and wonder what might have been. Go for it. You can do it.

I think you will have a very difficult time, but it won't be impossible. If you can have someone help you with your math, like tutors, etc then your dream can become a reality, but Doctors and nurses need math, they have to frequently convert measurements of medicines and things.

Good luck!
