My husband and I are trying to conceive. We had intercourse on my fertile days, but since we were on vacation, we went to the pool and the beach about 30min. later every day. could the chlorine in the pool, or salt water in the ocean damage the sperm at all, or wash it away? Is swimming right after having intercourse a bad idea if we want to become pregnant? Did I diminish my chances for this month?

Unless you got water up in your vagina then no the water won't wash away sperm. By the time you got the pool, his little guys had already gotten into your uterus, if they were going to make it that far. Relax! trust me...i know it sucks to hear people say that, but its true. Relaxation (mentally) is the best for conceiving.

No to everything. Unless the water temperature was very high, it won't damage sperm production. The water won't wash away the sperm that were deposited inside of you unless you dive into the water within a few minutes of sex...and probably not even then. Chlorine or salt won't hurt anything, either.
