Check with the state, but I would say yes, it's called emancipation. The only problem is that you are then considered an adult and you will have to face all of the responsibilities of being an adult, you will no longer have your parents to hide behind. You will have to get a full time job, be able to pay rent, bills, taxes, you will be responsible for your own health insurance, your own car insurance, you own car payments, you can also be arrested, tried and convicted as an adult. Actually, yes. But have you really thought about it. Do you have a job? Are you finished with High School. Where are you going to live? Probably can't rent an apartment or house at 17. Can you even afford rent, utilities, food, clothes, transportation, entertainment all on your own?

I don't know if it's legal or not, but you better be able to take care of yourself.
Most apartments won't rent to you until you are 18. You can't even sign a legal document yet.

I lived in SOUTH CAROLINA and could and did , North Carolina NO u have to be 18, however u can't really do **** until ur 18 so wait it out or move in with an older friend
