I live in San Jose, Ca. It's about 50 miles south of San Francisco. I had a convention in Las Vegas that lasted three days. Had another convention, two mornings later in Chicago. Back to San Jose two days after than one was done.
California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Illinois, AND back. About 4,000 miles, 10 days, including two three day confrences. Brutal. Pretty scenery ... AT 75 MILES AN HOUR!

Farthest/Furthest doesn't matter!!
I drove from Camden, NJ to SanDiego, CA. I think it was a little over 3,000 miles.

My Uncle, Sam, sent us on trips from the midwest to Korea or to the Middle East... He was good about getting is home from Korea, but the Middle East took about a year to come back home...
Driven was cross country from MI to CA, around and back...
Also did MI to TX and MI to MA (shorter but different directions)

From North Ogden, UT with a pit-stop to drop off a friend in Washington, DC, then on into Raleigh, NC where I live now. And, you were correct in saying "farthest" in your question. :)
