When I think of who could be considered a contribution to the musical legend list, I am more inclined to think of talent rather than mere popularity. I'd have to say either Dave Matthews Band or Phish for their huge cult followings and interesting music, or Radiohead for their innovative sound. Lots of bands are imitating them right now (ie coldplay)

I agree with Britney--if only because she's the sluttiest whore around. I hate her, so I have a feeling she's never going to go away.
I'm sure Kelly Clarkson will also stick in our heads, due to the whole "American Idol" phenomenon, and she has great hits and albums.

I don't think there is anyone who is deemed worthy to be considered a musical legend. Not for our generation anyway
