the absolute best computer click here http://www.apple.com/powermac/ you can get a huge hard drive we are talking terabytes here which is more than any gigabyte 1,000,000 gigabytes is a terabyte also u can get up to 16 gigabyte of RAM just check out all of the options a standard unit will cost ya a starting price of 1999$ one like big businesses and movie studios and research firms use will run ya around $21,000 or better mine was around that and after switching to apple i will never buy another Microsoft based computer again. just as an example look and see how many updates your Microsoft has had to do this year , alot huh? apple has issued 6 updates all year, a.k.a ports-patches, Microsoft issued over 6 in January alone. it is a lil costly i understand but perhaps the powerbook laptop is more for you if you are just a surfer/e-mailer etc... also the Macintosh operating system is alot more user friendly and very easy to understand check out screenshots at the above website as well, the dashboard(that is what they call it) really puts u in control!

Well, when you are looking at these systems, it's not so much the brand then it is about what you want. It's always going to be better if you build your own computer from scratch because it will be perfectly tailored to your needs, but who has time.

HP has been my families choice for over 10 years when it comes to home PC's. The Dell systems are good, but I think their laptops are better then their PC's and I just never liked Compaq, I don't know why.

I have had or worked with every known/unknown brand of computers - the best that I have found is Dell - and they unlike Gateway stand behind their product with their service!@

Who is "russell brand"? I know who JW's are but who's russell? That's nice he talks about the Bible frequently, I hope he speaks truth about it, rather than saying bad things. Anyone can change if they want to. There's still time to return to God. Isaiah 55:7 says: ..."Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way."

If you are a gamer go with Alienware. They can't be beat. I am not much of a gamer and so my Dell works great.
