sitting in your "CUBE -- Cellular Ustulation Breeding Ennui" and are so completely drowned in your boredom that you are surfing yahoo answers? Everyone else around me is continually motivated...It's not that I don't have work to do, it's that I don't care! Where do the rest of you find your motiviation?

I want to keep my job, that's what motivates me. I like the check the company sends me each week. It comes in helpful in paying bills. I dont care either but its easier just to do my job than sitting around doing nothing for 8 hours.

No one has motivation, we all just fake it just to make it. You must be incredibly bored to be sitting in your cube explaining what "cube" stands for. And here I was thinking that it had to do with the shape. Any hoo, I'm home on my lunchbreak and just asked a question myself. Since you're in a "cube" ( even though I don't know what type of job you have) do you know how to set up a website from home? Preferably an inexpensive one?

I know what you mean. Sometimes I am not motivated either. Try to get more involved and interested in your job. If you take more responsibility, it will make your job more interesting. Or maybe you should start looking for a new job.

don't beat ur self about it. we all go thru, regardless if want to admit. i have a staff of 4 guys working for me. they all know, as i do, if the urge to goof off comes over u, please do it and get it outta ur system.
i have excellent productivity, from myself and my staff. ur not a deadbeat, just going thru a moment of blahs. life sucks, life is good, life takes different turns.
if that duznt work, start smoking weed at work. it won't help with the motivation, but what the heck, it'll make the time more mellow.

You need a new job. You sound intelligent and could probably find a new one with ease. Why don't you try doing something you are fairly passionate about? We spend so much of our lives at work.........we may as well enjoy it.

If you are done with your assigned job........... you can do other things in those 8 hours. Some times you can not impress your boss with your work.

you are not alone. my friend is infront of a computer all day and he is contantly on AIM chatting with people. lol you must not like your job tho, if you ahve no motivation.
