Why Not?

It is summer in the northern hemisphere, so the 30 is all that is important at the moment, And in the winter it will flow better than 10W-30.

you can, but I wouldn't advise it. unless you just like seeing white smoke come from exhaust pipe. 5w-30 is a thinner fluid, which on higher milage vehicles allows the oil to seap down past the valve seals and be burnt in the combustion chamber.

Check the owner's manual. Most modern vehicles use 5W-30, but check to be sure.

yes you can unless you have a 3800 it is not recommended. 3800 engines have a larger piston clearance and you should use 10w30 or it could use more oil. Will it hurt anything? no. But stick with 10w30 for best results.
