For the longest of times, the Jewish Defense League has perpetuated the belief through the media that the criticism of Israel was based on anti-semitic views.
Now that Israel is being depicted by the world news as a murderous regime that is mercilessly killing Lebanese citizens not neccessarily responsible for the acts of Hezbollah, anti Israeli sentiments are skyrocketing.
The simple fact is, Jewish people and Israel aren't the same thing.
Israel has commited war crimes by violating the Osolo and Camp David accords.
Israel has been using palestinian kids for taget practice for years and only exciting anti Israeli/ anti-Jew hatred.
The very ceation of Israel - a state of European Jews - surrounded by a sea of arab countries was a mistake. Israel should have been created in Canada or Iceland where the people wouldn't have to worry about constant attacks.
It is becoming more and more common for people to openly criticise Israel in America as well as the rest of the world. Most people aren't educated enough to understand the difference between hating Israel and antisemitism but basically since Israel is mostly Jewish, the Jews will probably see anti-Israeli hate as antisemitism.
All this conflict will lead to is more Jew-hating.

It all depends on the criticism.
If a person were to base their criticism on the Jewish ppl as a race then that would be anti-semitic.... much like when a person says something like, "...those black ppl are...." See. That is being racist and that is basically what being anti-semitic is.
Now if a person were to base their criticism on the actions of Israel that is completely different. That is not making a judgement with a broad hand to cover the entire race. See?
Btw, I am agreeing with you just illustrating the when something is anti-semitic or not. And I do agree with you that if you speak the truth based on fact then it is not anti-semitic. BUT, if you base the 'truth' as you see it on opinion only, then that is anti-semitic.
For example, say a person says, "Israel is is attacking Lebanon because Jews are evil..." See there is some truth in there but the premise is based on opinion = anti-semitic.
Also, one last note, I think you have it backwards... I dont think Israel drew the USA into the war; but rather, that the 'burning' Bush set this up so that Israel could open the door for him to finish conquering the entire middle east while he still has 2 years of his presidency left. There was no way the American ppl were going to support military action against Iran or Syria... not after his false premises for going into Iraq. By making Israel look like the victim, the gets American support. See.

I think you are being deliberatly confusing here to push your own agenda.
Criticizing a country is not sterotyping their people. Saying "I don't agree with Israel's foreign policy" is not the same as "Wow, jews sure do like money"
Also, more than ever schools are teaching creativity and free thought. Do you really think that classes are MORE establishment friendly now than in the 50s?

Israel is a state and offering up criticism of it doesn't make you an anti-Semite. You are an anti-Semite if you discriminate against or are is hostile toward or prejudiced against Jewish people.

War doens't have to be a holy thing. It has a political side too. If someone is critisizing the politics of isreal, it's not necessarily a cheap shot at the citizens religous background. As for your rant that followed your question, I agree.

Anti-Semitism (alternatively spelled antisemitism) is hostility toward or prejudice against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group, which can range from individual hatred to institutionalized, violent persecution. (Wikipedia)
Critisizing Israel as a state is not the same thing as anti-semitism.

Criticizing Isreal and criticizing Jews are two different things
don't confuse them
I have always disapproved of Isreal being a country, but think Jews are great people although I honestly only know a few of them

I completely agree with your question. However the rest of your statement is junk. It has and always should be the parents responsibilty to raise their kids and ensure they have a solid education. Indoctrination takes many forms, corporations do it al the time, they call it teamwork.

Brainwashing='s Biased Education
Propaganda='s Biased Information
Societal emphasize is always subjective.
Therefore, brainwashing and propaganda are ubiquitous and impossible to combat.
You are either brainwashed by relying upon left-wing propaganda;
brainwashed by rellying upon right-wing propaganda;
or cluelessly moderate which is the core goal of all civilizations: maintain majority apathy.
