I`m 15 years old, and my older sister has always said eating fried foods, especially chicken, makes you get more pimples, zits, and blackheads, because of the extra grease in the foods. This sounds far-fetched to me, so is it true?

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Nope, in fact greasy foods do NOT give you pimples. People also say that chocolate causes zits, that is also false. Certain foods don't give you acne. But if you take better care of yourself by eating better(less fried stuff), drinking more water(water helps keep the skin & body clean) & taking a multivitamin, you'll have fewer breakouts

YES!!!! It is true. Not only does fried foods (or foods with a large amount of grease) cause acne, it also causes you to gain weight. And if you eat it regularly (overtime.. meaning a few years) you will grow up to be obese.

Actually, I think that any food with that much grease will increase your acne or make it worse.... But, I hate fried chicken and never eat it, and I don't have one pimple on my face. [ :

of cos is not true dear, y chicken, she might as well say eat duck or fish or pork.. but eating greasy food might increase ur bad cholestrol levels, increase ur weight that might cause high blood pressure, heart prob, increase risk for kidney and diabetes problems,

pimples is cause by ur hormones changes, some ppl does have more pimples genetically, but hormones does play a part, stress, late night sleeps also contribute to abnormal hormonal changes, and of cos cleanliness,

its easy to find books on acne, web got lots of it too u can visit national skin centre's webby, even teen kind of magazines got lots of advice for ppl who writes in,
but if the situation is kind of serious, its obvious to tell, just look into mirror or u might hav lots of remarks passed to u already u cant help but to know how bad ur skin is, den please consult doc, if not normal pimple cream in the market will do.

food does not give you pimples. it seems like it but when you're stressed or excited (or just a teenager) your hormones and whatnot are running about like a chicken with it's head cut off and that would be what causes pimples. you may tend to crave junk food (like fried chicken) and that's why it seems like the food is what's causing it. a good skin care regimen can help to offput what those pesky hormones do.

No that is a myth about fried foods, they used to say the same about chocolate, but that too has been proven wrong.
Fried chicken is not the best food for your arteries.
