I work in Big Cat conservation, nobody cares about the Cheetah why?

The cheetah is the world's fastest land animal, the most unique and specialized member of the cat family.It can reach speeds up to 70mph but unlike other cats it is not aggressive.It uses it's speed to escape large predators but cannot fight them to protect its young.

I spent three years in Namibia, the country with the highest Cheetah population in the world. Ever heard about "AfriCat-Foundation" the foundation that tries to rescue Cheetahs which have been caught by farmers, because they hunt their life stock. They work together with the Otjiwarongo Veterinary Clinic, who helps them get the injured, exhausted and dehydrated Cheetahs back to health again and then they re-introduce them back into wildlife. They have a donation program which helps them to educate the people there (incl school kids) to not just catch and shoot the animals, but to understand why, what and where they hunt and also how to protect their life stock from becoming prey for the animals (not just Cheetahs, also Leopards, Hyena seldom Lions).

Is it endangered? Until the cheetah becomes an endangered species, no one has to care. But I love the big cats. Lions, tigers, mountain lions, cheetahs, all of them. They are amazing.

I would guess because they are so dog like even though they are cats; so perhaps cat lovers overlook them?
