i mean its the same route each day for the driver but why is it a matter of 2 hours difference?

Somedays they have huge amount of mail and somedays they don't so they get earlier at your door.

my mail woman has a time for every day. Or mabye yours just looses track of time. But mine has a different time for every day.
Like:
Monday: 12:30pm
Tuesday: 1:15pm
Wensday: 3:00pm
Thursday: 1:00pm
Friday: 2:30pm
Saturday: 1:30pm
no post on sunday
see, she has a schedule.
