Her friend, a guy, kept bugging her to see her privates. She finally gave in and lifted her skirt for him to see her cooch.

He replied "it's pink, It's Pink!!" True story. I just saw a bio on her last weekend. She said that was the reason.

I read an article once that said she liked the color and used to have pink hair. Also, it is really the rage to be called by one name. It's very memorable and causes discussion-we are talking about it-great marketing ploy!

VH1 special- here Mom said it was because she really liked the movie "Resivoir Dogs" and she liked the character "Mr. Pink" and had all her friends calling her that... eventually she dropped the "Mr." part and was just "Pink" from then on.

I also heard it has something to do with Steven Tyler, she was a fan of his and something about him liking pink.
