Because non Yankee fans are jealous of their success. The Yankee are the most successful sports franchise in all of sports. I've been a life long Yankee and Phillies fan.

So in terms of Bang for the buck, the Marlins with 51 wins for about half what Arod($25 Mil) gets paid per year for the whole teams payroll ($14 Mil) is pulling of the best bang for the buck at about 1/10 the amount spent per win that the Yankees spend.

They suck because they come from the biggest market, have over a 200 million dollar payroll, while other teams (like the Pittsburgh Pirates) have a payroll that TOTALs 16 million dollars. They are ruining the game by making it so that only 3 or 4 teams each year have any chance at getting to the World Series, and all the rest are just padding to fill out the schedule and develop players for the Yankees to buy at the trade deadline.
If you care about baseball, you should see that the payroll inexquities in baseball are ruining the game. A "small market" team like Pittsburgh simply does not have access to the advertisement revenue that a New York team does. Something must be done to level that playing field.
I like George Steinbrenner. He makes me smile. But when one team's payroll is TEN TIMES another team's, nothing good can come of that. And Yankee fans who can't see this are the people who really s*uck, much more than the Yankees themselves.

because they are ignorant and ungrateful bastids. What they don't realize is that when the beloved Yankees come to play in their towns the attendance always goes up significantly. This increase in revenue helps support teams whose fans hate the Yankees. To all Yankee haters; props are owed.
BTW the same happens with the Mets but to a lesser extent

Because they overpay for the top talent. They buy their championships by spending $100 million more than the next guy. And then wonder why they lose money every year.
