I think you are looking at people from a particular point of view. I think most people would think that terrorism and murder were much bigger sins.
In fact, the Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.
The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
With love in Christ.

Being gay is not the biggest sin. I would think the biggest sin is worshiping satan. However, homosexuality is an abomination of the Lord. It clearly states that throughout the bible

I'd say a much bigger sin is preaching hatred, bigotry, discrimination and therefore violence against LGBT people. I cannot understand how people who do this can in any way call themselves 'christians.' WWJD?
The other one that irks me is the use of "gay" as an adjective to mean "bad." I do try to call some questioners on this in Yahoo, but I can't catch every question.
And I also find that people who use gay as a noun, as in "the gays," tend to be the ones asking bigoted questions, vs. the ones correctly using it as an adjective, as in "gay people." It also depersonalized us - which was probably the point in the first place.
[I normally use LGBT but your question specifically used the word "gay."]
Thanks for the question!

1. People take the story of Adam and Eve to mean God created woman to be with man. They thing that being gay is going against God's intended will.
2. 2 men/2 women can't naturally reproduce.
3. Ignorance.

My aunt is a minister and she told me all sins are pretty much the same, no sin is bigger than another sin. I personally believe murder is way bigger than being Gay. People just want to hate on Gays because they don't understand them...

Because they're stupid and ignorant. First of all, homosexuality is not even a sin, (though it may not be right, and is considered blasphemy and I guess is worse than sin)
No sin is smaller or larger than the other. Sin does not have size. Sin is sin.

hatred, igorance, itolerance, bigotry, stupidity....those are the biggest sins!
hate is neither a family nor a Christian value.
seems like the people who point their fingers the most and scream the loudest....are covering up much worse "sins" of their own. maybe their trying to divert attention away from themselves? I often wonder....

Very good question. Interestingly, homosexuality is not mentioned in the Ten Commandments. Dont you think that if it were such a huge sin, God would have created the 11th Commandment, "Thou shall not lay with another person of the same sex..."?
