You tell him that it is a natural part of being a human male. Don't make it a big deal. Just tell him that it is natural and normal and that he should only do it privately because sexual acts should be private. Tell him there is absolutely nothing wrong with masturbating and that his body will want him to release sexual tension in this way quite often for a few years while his hormones are raging. Then buy him two sets of plain white sheets, teach him how to make the bed from scratch and use the washing machine so you don't have to know what he's up to! Good luck.

Hei well... am really happy to know that u are so close to the kid that he is asking u.. Well this is a very unexplainable kinda situation... am sure he does have an idea of sex. after seeing all kinda movies and soaps... going on air...so well u can start by expalining him this kinda activity get his energy out of him... tell him how our blood is transformed into sperm and its not just a fluid it contains more than that and its automatically gets released ... but when we do manually ourselves its know as mastrubation basically its kinda releasing forcefully or mechanically... but when we kinda play and do some exercise or yoga kinda stuff that energy is transformed fruitfully to those activities which makes us healthy.. and make him understand sure thats there are things more pleasurable in life than mastrubation.. sure u can make him understand

Well if he is 12 he should be on 6Th grade, by 6Th grade they teach the students the growth of the body, and they tell him about everything he wants to know, the teacher has to answer it. Tell him to ask his teacher, or you have the right to tell him. Just tell him what you know.

tell him, that since he is growing and and his hormones are urguing to get out of his body, sometimes, young boys, like him, play with their sensual parts...in this case his penis....but tell him that masturbation is a bad thing to do, since it will increase his desire to do sex with some else....and he is too young to get into a serious relationship....remind him that he is capable already in getting pregnant a young girl....so is better for him to do exercise and do other things instead of doing masturbation....and let the father tell him this or send me an email at israelmoya20@yahoo.com.....

parents underestimate their kids these days. They know far more than what you give them credit for. Just dont be shy. Sit him down and talk to him like an adult, eventhough he's not. Be casual and talk about whatever comes to mind. Remember, you do know best - you are his mother

First off, I'm glad that your son feels comfortable talking openly about this to you, tell him that it is natural to want to explore ones genitals but that you feel like he should ask his father!

tell him it is a very healthy way to know himself, but that it can become an addiction to do it everyday,

tell him to do it when he is alone, and that he has to be careful not to ejaculate in his bed or sofa... use kleenex

tell him that a lot of people do it even if they say they dont, it is a very intimate topic....

good luck

It would help if we knew if you were a woman or a man.

If a man I'd say "Just stroke it- you'll know it when you're done"

If a woman I'd say "Honey, I love you dearly but this topic makes me really uncomfortable. I suggest you talk to your Dad about it"
