Some popup blockers do not work for some popups. Some "popups" are actually programs designed to appear as pop up ads but are actually installed on your computer and do not get blocked. Download Zone Alarm from www.zonelabs.com (free version) and Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.com (free also) to control those types of popups. You can recognize these types because they are usually the same 5 or 6 popups about mortgage or casinos.

If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, you will have the highest amounts of popups.. popping up . Get a pop up blocker which still won't do the work properly for you (because you are using IE) Try not to take the IE 7 because its still in its Beta stage and there are lots of known flaws in it..
I would suggest switching to Firefox

If you still dont wish to change try the Google tool bar or the yahoo toolbar. they have built in pop-up blockers..
Also download Adaware from http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html and run a smart scan.There might some spware and adware on your computer which are the reason for your exessive popups !

To stop pop ups get a pop up blocker thats the only way I can say.

If you have Internet Explorer, you should download a pop up blocker from http://www.downloads.com
I believe the newest version of IE and Firefox have built in pop-up blockers. Good Luck

click on tools at the top
click on pop-up blocker
turn on pop-up blocker
if you do not have a pop up blocker then you will have to download one, but check first by doing the above

use Lavasoft Ad-Ware SE, this is the best pop-up software in the whole world. If you use other pop-up blocker, some of the pop-up can't block, but with the LavaSoft Ad-Ware SE can block any kind of pop-up.

search popup blocker on google. of course google will show their popup blocker as first on the list but look at everything else. there's some really good ones.
