and i wanted to cut them a little above the knees to cut a grunge look cuz i'm hoping the ends come out a little frayed and rugged looking.did anyone do this before and will they look good on a girl?

I had an old pair of jeans too...And some weeks ago I had the brilliant idea to start rip them...It took 2 days for me to make them as I liked but the result was awesome..And you can also use some sandpaper...

My sister has a pair of bermuda shorts like that and I think they are really cute. I always want to borrow them. You could cut one pair of jeans and then trying throwing some dots of paint on the other pair? Just another option...

Yes I have done it before.
It looks very beachy but then again really cute and preppy.
Frayed jean bermudas are perfect for girls.
It combines the length of guys shorts and the tightness and fray from girls shorts and jeans.
Very cute!
You should definitly try it!

I've done it, looks good. If you want to go grunge, splash them with some bleach.
