I go to Loughborough Uni and love it! The town is quite small but the students union is the biggest in the UK, its also only 10mins away from Nottingham, so if your missing city life or need retail therapy you can get there in no time at all!

It is very sporty, but you don't have to be...the atmosphere is great!

If you want to have some student stats and take a look at the uni look here...http://www.push.co.uk and search for Loughborough. Also look here http://www.uni360.com/ (on the bottom left is a link to Lufbra) and u can take a tour!

I would defo recommend it! Good luck wherever you go! Enjoy Echos if you do go there...its a shithole bt i can guarantee you'll frequent it! hehe!

ps. in response to an above comment, the town is never empty! unless its not term time.. Loughborough is a student town and when they all leave in summer its dead.. thats when the above guy mustv visited!

The most I know about it is that it is very popular with sporty students and it featured on Alan Partridge about someone who had just passed away: "Second class degree in media studies from Loughborough University. What a waste..."

I played basketball there (for Aberystwyth) a few years ago.

It was very small, very pokey students' union.

In my opinion, you're kind of missing out on a lot of student life in such an isolated area. A small town is big enough, but the area was just a bit too.. empty.

We won, and I hit an absolutely awesome lay-up, chasing a stray ball that was going out beneath the basket, throwing it up as I sailed off the court, and not knowing whether it went in until someone told me.

Newcastle is between the united kingdom's perfect universities besides the very incontrovertible fact that i'm no longer certain about their accounting and finance courses. i could anticipate that that they had be firstclass. As for Newcastle the city you may no longer lack for surprising nightlife and eating position recommendations. it truly is a astounding city all round, and incredibly one it incredibly is a reliable decision to stay and learn.
