When you needed her the most (lets say you were suddenly homeless, and found out you were pregnant) she refused to offer you a meal or a place to stay because, as she says, she "Can't handle dealing with anyone elses problems right night".

You have different things going on with this question. I can't understand why she wouldn't offer you a meal, unless she herself didn't have any food. Second a place to stay...for how long? ....overnight is one thing, but for a length of time is another. She said she has problems of her own and I would try to help her out too if you can. Then maybe she will soften up with you and offer you at least a meal. Maybe she was just in shock when you delivered both of your issues. I would be hurt at the refusing to feed you and at least let you stay the night if you were indeed SUDDENLY homeless. There are places you can contact and they may be able to help you with your situation. Good luck sweetie and please do a good job of raising your child. You can't go back in time to do it differently.

Yes. I would still talk to my mother because sooner or later I am going to need some support from her. Just because someone ends up pregnant does not mean that the mother has to take that person back in. (age appropriate)

Initially I would be very hurt and dissappointed that she wasn't supportive. I would find a way to handle my situation the best way I could and maybe in time I could learn to forgive my mom. We all have our problems and deal with them in different ways. I hope this helped.

A mother is supposed to love her children unconditionally, that's what makes a mother child bond so special. If my mom said she couldn't help me when I needed her the most, I wouldn't have anything to do with her.

I think I would still talk to my mother in that scenario. You have to admit, everyone has problems at various times in their lives. If it happens that me and my mother have serious problems at the same time, I can't expect her to further jeopardize herself by helping me. If she was in deeper dispare then me, then I would feel like I should be the one helping her. If my mother would have helped me out, if her situation was better, and I know that she would have, then I would still talk to her. Regardless, be polite in all situations. Good Luck

I would still talk to my mother if that happened but as a parent I don't know how you could turn your back on your own child.
